Jill Thomas sent me this beautiful engagement session she photographed in Utah. Jill is making the move out here to socal this summer, so I’m excited to start sharing some of her work. She has a really great eye for composition.

Oh, I love when a fellow brazilian makes it big this side of the hemisphere! I was thrilled to see that amazingly talented illustrator Vanessa da Silva got herself a deal with Topshop , and has now a capsule collection of t-shirts and dresses printed with her colourful and quirky drawings! It’s all full of the tropical energy and fresh organic lines so characteristic of Brazil, with a relaxed street-style edge. Love the “jungle go shopping” theme, it’s perfect for the summer.

I have to hand it to our friend and fab blogger Jamilla. It never crossed my mind that the best way to test our waterproof mascaras and eye liners would be to blast my face in the shower–for a full 30 seconds! Jamilla did just that to roadtest products for a trip to Costa Rica where she knew a full makeup meltdown could potentially be in the cards because of the humid weather. Jamilla used L’Extreme Waterproof in black and Le Crayon Khol Waterproof in a shade we don’t have in the U.S. (you might want to substitute Le Stylo Waterproof , which has more shades) and both passed her test. Unless you’ve been living in a cave, you certainly know about the sensation that is Susan Boyle from “Britain’s Got Talent.” If you don’t, you have to click on this link and watch before reading the rest of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY I watched Saturday morning before running to kickboxing and as soon as Susan launched into song, I had tears streaming down my face. (And then I watched Paul Potts and continued to bawl like a baby. I’m glad I wasn’t wearing Définicils.) I have to confess, my first thought upon seeing Susan was, “Wow. She really needs her eyebrows done.” When she was finished, I felt like a jerk for thinking that. But now that she’s a global sensation with 34 million+ YouTube hits, fan websites, t-shirts and more, you have to wonder if the makeover machine is going to spring into action. Should Susan Boyle be subjected to the same makeover that all the reality show contestants get, from “American Idol” to “The Biggest Loser”?

Do you like modern architecture? Buildings that have a little edge, a unique look that isn’t in the least bit cookie-cutter? I do, I like a building with a little funk and a little rebel about it – and I get that same feeling when I look at Blowfish shoes .
