Available: Nike Air Griffey Max I QS – “Hot Red”

words_Brandon Richard Earlier this year, we received news of the retirement of Ken Griffey Jr. Griffey was one of the best and most influential athletes of his day, and the continued success and popularity of his signature Nike footwear line only reinforces that belief. 2010 has been a big shoe year for Junior, with several of his models being retroed, plus the release of his commemorative Trainer 1.2 . Today, one of the popular colorways of the Air Griffey Max I is back and ready for purchase. The “Hot Red” Griffey Max I features an anthracite and black synthetic upper, with hot red accents on the front lace loop, tongue and heel pull-tabs, and Swoosh branding on the strap and heel. The midsole is white, and houses a hot red visible Air Unit. All three colors come together to complete the look on the outsole. Nike x EA Sports Madden ‘11 + Tim Tebow NCAA ‘11 – Special Packaging

words_Brandon Richard By now, you’ve probably heard about (and hopefully received) the Nike Trainer 1.2s honoring EA Sports’ two 2011 football video games. The NCAA ’11 pair that salutes Tim Tebow and his now infamous “Promise” speech sold out in record time at NikeStore. Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints were given a subtle shout out on the Madden ’11 pair , which saw an unexpected release at Eastbay earlier in the month. You can also expect to see that Trainer available at NikeStore on Friday. For those of you who have received either or both of these trainers,  you know that they came packaged in the standard orange Nike box. However, a special set of boxes was created for family and friends. The boxes are pulled from the video game covers, and feature the likenesses of Drew Brees and Tim Tebow. Chances to get your hands on the special boxes are slim, but don’t be shocked if they turn up on eBay in the future. In the meantime, take a look at some photos below. via Freshness

ATF Crew x Nike Preview

Nike continues to collaborate with many different entities within the sneaker community. That said, the ATF Crew (DJ Clark Kent, All Day, MAYOR, DJ Greg Street) seems to be next on this list of collaborators with Nike. Recently, Mayor revealed a preview photo of the ATF Crew’s work with Nike on what seems to be an Air Force 1 via Twitter . From what we can see so far, this shoe features the Nike logo on the tongue and the ATF acronyms below it. Mayor simply called this a ‘MOVIE!!’ on Twitter; therefore, we can only hope this ‘film’ is as good as the preview portrays! Stay tuned for more updates regarding this sneaker. © George Kiel III for NiceKicks.com , 2010. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: Nike

When Nike announced that they would be creating a 6.0 division to provide gear for the extreme sports world, many Nike fans thought it would simply produce the “poor man’s SB’s. The sneaker comes with a yellow swoosh on its side panel. I love how the hot pink color provides accent on the shoes. You will definitely love these wonderful sneakers. Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Premium

Amsterdam’s Patta partnered with Nike on this pair of Air Max 1s to celebrate their fifth anniversary, rumored to release sometime in November. This obviously isn’t Patta’s first time around the block with a collaboration , but having seen an 1 of 3 Air Max 1 surface on eBay months ago, we have a scale by which to compare this most recent design. At first glance, they appear to be a simple white, forest and grey colorway, but the mix of materials sets this one apart. White mesh is used on the toe, along the laces and the heel panels, while a little bit of grey canvas stretches across the top of the toe and heel cap. That same grey hue is used on the upper-most portions of the mid-panel, as well. The splash guard and Swoosh both use a Chlorophyll green woven material, which is a darker shade than the green used in the “Chlorophyll” colorway we’ve seen from Nike before. As noted above, this Nike was done up to commemorate Patta’s 5 year anniversary, as noted by the “2004″ on the insole. Daily Drop has the info on how to get these on Pre-Order.
