As I was perusing through Shoefly Guy today, I kept finding myself drawn to different pairs of shoes crafted by a single designer: Ryan Rowe . I was a little surprised that I gravitated toward one designer just with the handful of shoes that peaked my interest. So, since Rowe is obviously doing something right by capturing my attention with a number of his styles, I’ve decided he deserves some time in the spotlight this week. According to Rowe, his mission is to present a “concept of modern luxury which is about quality, accessibility, simplicity, attention to detail, getting back to nature and being comfortable.” I think you’ll find the shoes I’ve featured below all reflect this mission in one way or another — from his intentional use of earth tones to his innovative detailing and accent colors — not to mention, they’re just down-right hip shoes . One of the first shoes I was drawn to was Rowe’s Tipton Canvas pictured below (Its brother shoes, the Tipton F08s are pictured top, right). The canvas outer gives the shoe an old-school feel, and the accent detailing along the laces really give the shoe an edge

Boot weather is almost here! If you want to splurge on a pair of designer boots this fall, give serious consideration to these scrunch boots from Christian Louboutin . Asics has made quite an impact for themselves within the past year with numerous collaborations and tons of releases which have gotten more then a few people talking. One of their future releases which has caught our eye is the Asics Gel Lyte Speed ‘Grey Goose’. The upper of the Grey Goose Asics Gel Lyte Speed yields a buttery smooth grey suede upper in three shades of grey. A red and white stripe pattern is applied to the mid-sole and the laces while 3M detailing is used throughout the upper just incase the stripes dont add enough of their own “pop”. No official release date is available at this time but according to SneakerFreaker the sneakers should be hitting retailers in September. Unless you having been living under a rock (regarding the visitation of our website), you have seen detailed images of our upcoming collaboration design with DavidZ on the Gel Lyte III . We stated that the shoe will be available in-store and online during the month of October, however, while we continue to impatiently wait for the release, we have spotted another fresh Asics Gel Lyte III colorway that is available at Sneaker Politics . This particular Gel Lyte III owns a very vibrant color scheme to say the least. The base is colored mostly in grey and black, while various turquoise details appear throughout the heel and side panels. The Asics logo is done up in purple to give this shoe a nice contrasting look. To finish it off, this Gel Lyte III’s white midsole possesses a grey speckle-like design. As seen earlier today, Puma is currently applying numerous designs to the Clyde model. With that said, along with the “Raps” lineup and the “Africa” Clyde lineups, Puma has also released two limited edition First Round models at select retailers such as Mita . The pair shown to the right owns a predominately grey leather base with minimal black accents in the form of the heel panel, tongue logo and outsole. The second pair, shown after the jump contains a colorway similar to the previously mentioned “Raps” Clyde. Did you think we forgot about the Ignes customized giveaway? Well, there is no way we could have let this slip our minds. You might remember a few weeks ago we polled Purse Blog readers about what kind of bags, colors, textures, accessories you’d like to see custom made for an amazing travel set giveaway . The results were tallied and the results were handed over to the designer. As her team got started on manufacturing these bags, we thought we’d bring you all along through the process.

This past NBA season was one to remember. Although there were great, memorable games from the first round to the championship, the Nike commercials provided a great sidebar of laughter for all of us; the LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Lil Dez puppets made us not want to leave our seats during timeouts and intermission. Nike has now used the latter puppet as a application design on the Big Nike model. At a first glance, this sneaker seems to be simply designed seeing that it possesses a predominately sport red synthetic leather base; however, it contains many elements that make us wonder if Lil Dez actually got a hold of these. For example, the words, Congrats Kobe are written in white script on the collar areas of both shoes. Around this time last year, Jordan Brand brought back the Jumpman Team Pro to many sneaker enthusiast’s liking. Many of you labeled it one of the better sneakers to play in and rightfully so. Likewise, every JB member wore it at least once during the 2008-09 NBA season. Now, JB has released the first colorway of the Jordan Jumpman Pro Low at select retailers. The first to release will be this black/white colorway.
