Lately, some readers have been writing to me asking my thoughts on mineral makeup. Is it really worth the hype? In short: YES. I can honestly say that since switching from heavier liquid foundations to mineral ones, my skin has been reborn, revitalized, and healthier than ever. This is largely because mineral makeup is made from naturally occurring pigments from the earth. It won’t clog your pores, and thus, you ain’t going to break out from it – making it perfect for light coverage for all types of sensitive skin. I also love it because it is great for the inner-artist we all have.

As far as kits go, Cargo’s new 7 in 7 kit is pretty darn impressive. The mission behind it is to get you “pretty and out the door in 7 minutes,” which is a pretty lofty claim! I got the light-medium kit (obviously) and inside it was: OneBase™ (02) – Essential Palette (Warm Neutral) – Eye Pencil (Brown) – LashActivator™ – BeachBlush™ (Sunset Beach) – Reverse Lip Liner (01) – Classic Lip Gloss with Timestrip Technology (Tobago) My favorite part is that the kit comes with in-detail directions, to let you know how to use each of the 7 products. This saves time, and gets the best possible results out of them! You know what I always say – kits are a great way to save money, and to experiment at the same time! Absolutely consider giving this baby a try.

You know how sometimes you get that super uncomfortable feeling when you’ve been sloshing around in flip flops all day? Your feet start to sweat, and god-forbid, smell…and suddenly, no matter how sexy your footwear, you are not feeling remotely attractive. I recently came across Giovanni’s Biodegradable Organic Towelettes . These are scented squares that hydrate and sanitize on contact and come in great “flavors” like lavender, grapefruit, and peppermint. It’s almost like a pedicure in your purse! I love them. And god knows I need a little bit of freshening up of my life.
