John Maeda x Reebok ERS 5000 “Reduce”
Dating back to 2007, graphic designer John Maeda and Reebok have created a couple of very nice sneakers such as the Ventilator Timetanium . Presently, John Maeda and Reebok have joined efforts once again to create this Reebok ERS 5000 . Both sides have collaborated to form some very unique creations as evident of the aforementioned Ventilator; however, this particular design lacks the extraordinary details and sticks to a basic makeup. It possesses a tonal metallic silver upper combined with a traditional white sole and plastic eyelets. The shoe itself draws inspiration from Law 1 in Maeda’s book, The Laws of Simplicity (“The simplest way to achieve simplicity is through thoughtful reduction.”).
